About Our School
Sandbach Community Primary is considered a small school and is situated close to the centre of the historic market town of Sandbach.
The school has a 31 place nursery offering 15 hours free provision to 23 children from the term after their third birthday and 8 two year olds from the term after their second birthday. The nursery is led by a well-qualified and experienced teacher of early years provision.
Each year group from reception to year 6 has 15 places. Children in reception benefit from a high teacher pupil ratio of 1 to 15 for their first important year of statutory schooling. After this children are taught in classes catering for the key phases of primary education; key stage 1, lower key stage 2 and upper key stage 2. Maximum class size is 30 pupils. All classes benefit from additional teaching and learning support from a team of well-qualified teaching assistants.
The school is proud of its calm and friendly atmosphere and the exemplary behaviour of its pupils. This is achieved through the consistent application of the whole school positive behaviour management policy.
The school's traditional building has been extensively modernised internally to provide up-to-date, well-resourced, bright and spacious learning environments. The school has extensive and well-used grounds providing an excellent space for regular outdoor learning and play.
