Maths
In maths, we have begun our first unit – adding and subtracting with three numbers. We also practise a range of maths skills every morning including times tables. Children should know all times tables by the end of Year 4 and so we encourage the children to practise as often as possible, particularly if there are times tables they are unsure of. In the Summer term, Year 4 children will complete the statutory times table check – more details will follow later in the year.

Year 4 times tables test
Year 4 will be tested on all times tables in the Summer term. The results are reported to the government. Any extra practise of times tables at home will help greatly. Children can use the resources above and should complete the times tables work sent for homework.
It would be great if they could practice using the link below as this is similar to the Summer test. The children will have a limited time to answer each question and will be completed on a laptop.
