LOCAL SUPPORT AND SERVICES

Dental Care – Please see the attached document which has information about the best way to find dental care in an emergency.

Get Safe Online - The internet is by far the most popular place to research and book holidays and travel, but its also a favourite place of fraudsters looking to scam us with hotels and package deals that don’t actually exist. With fake listing, emails, social media posts, text messages and other adverts, it can be difficult to work out whether you’ll be getting a well-earned break or ending up sat at home.

With the cost of living crisis in full swing, fraudsters are especially busy targeting those looking for a great deal on their summer break.  Protect yourselves by reading Get Safe Online’s top tips and visiting www.getsafeonline.org/holidaybooking

Money, debt and benefit advice - Pennysmart CIC was set up to combat poverty and exclusion for those in, or at-risk of financial hardship and/or debt crisis.

We do this directly through our digital and telephone based, free-to-client budgeting, benefits and regulated debt advice including casework support service. And indirectly through our financial themed training events for community facing staff, volunteers, and money helpers.

For more information please visit www.pennysmart.org.uk

If you feel that a referral to a service such as this would be beneficial, please do not hesitate to come in to school and speak to us.

Home Energy Support Fund - The Citizens Advice Bureau Home Energy Support Fund is available to people in crisis who cannot afford to put their heating on. For more information on this, please come in to school and talk to us about making a referral.

NEW Check in and Chat Befriending service – This service provides short term telephone support to patients who need a chat and some encouragement to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Through friendly conversation and where appropriate, working with tools such as the 5 steps to mental wellbeing, volunteers can help patients feel better and explore positive changes they could make.

If you feel this is a service you could benefit from, please contact school and we will provide the additional information you need.
