Over the past 3 weeks, you have been working really hard to write persuasive letters. You have worked so hard on these that I am sure you could now persuade anyone to do anything! Your task today is to choose an area that you would like to develop/change in school and write to Mrs Caldwell about it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Science:

In science we have been learning all about the circulatory system.  Our next lesson is all about how to keep ourselves healthy by exercising, eating a healthy diet and taking care of our hygiene. Your task is to consider each of these questions and make notes about them ready to discuss then further in our next lesson.

Exercise:

What impact does exercise have on our bodies?

What happens to our bodies if we don’t exercise?

Healthy diet:

What is a healthy diet?

What does a healthy diet consist of?

What happens if we don’t eat a healthy diet?

Hygiene:

What is good hygiene and why is it important?

What happens if we do not have good hygiene?

PHSE:

Last week we started learning about anti-social behavior and what it looks like. Today I would like you to consider the impact of anti-social behaviour.  Choose 2-3 of the scenarios below and write about the impact it may have on individuals, the community as a whole and the environment (if applicable).

Scenario 1: A play park has been defaced with graffiti including inappropriate language and naming individuals.

Scenario 2: A group of youths are running around a local shop, shouting and knocking items off the shelves.

Scenario 3:  An unknown group are spending time in the local woods. They are setting fires, leaving litter and damaging trees.
